Why get a Plowright Organic veg box?

Plowright Organic is a small, family run, organic vegetable farm, nestled in the foothills of the Quantocks. The aim here has always been to provide people with the opportunity to take part in a healthier, more sustainable food production system.

By selling direct to the consumer, we are able to grow a diverse range of vegetables rather than specialising in single crops: here rows of celeriac grow next to romanesco, purple, green and white caulis, a kaleidoscope of kale, sweetcorn, fennel and so much more. Soil is nurtured with compost, crop rotations and fertility building leys, and wildlife flourishes.

For the majority of the year, our boxes are full of vegetables picked within 48 hours of their arrival at our customers’ doors, having been harvested from a single location - our farm. The single journey our organically grown vegetables take, from farm to door, means the carbon footprint of a Plowright Organic veg box is hard to beat.
